Home Page Chronicles of Vallador
Book 1

The land was recovering slowly. After the Breaking it had taken a long time for the fear and chaos to subside, and for things to return to some sort of normality. Now Eldarania was quiet, protected by the Firestone and the magic that held the White Waste at bay.

The dwarves mined and traded, the elves were safe deep within their forests, the goblins peaceful in their mountain fastnesses, and the human kingdoms flourished again. But the greed of one wizard would change all that...

Book 2

Faron Rowal, civilisation’s northern outpost is under siege. After the destruction of the Firestone, winter is advancing everywhere. The Guardians and Sentinels who protected the land against its resurgence are long gone.

A widespread migration of goblin tribes southward, is throwing the Kingdoms of the Hundreds in the Beren valley into chaos. In the city of Spire, the High Council of Wizards has pronounced this merely a temporary occurrence of no importance.

All books are available in paperback, and 1 and 2 as ebooks...

Book 3

The two wind yachts continue westward trying to reach the Great Library of Althiel. To do so, they must cross half the continent and the stormy Bay of Dragons, avoiding all the pitfalls.    While they travel, the dwarven settlement of Cavern Deeps is under attack. It is home to the hottest deep forges essential to Espethadin’s plan to remake the Firestone. Should Cavern Deeps fall, with it will fall the wizard’s plans…

Book 4

The group of adventurers sent by Espethadin have lost one of their number in a terrible storm. If they can reach Althiel they will search for spells to recreate the Firestone of Vallador. But the storm has blown them into the floating islands where they have been found by a dragon.

As Firbek Threefinger struggles to stem the advance of the orks and goblins in Cavern Deep’s halls, Espethadin’s plans hang by a thread.

This book follows ‘Wind Yachts’ and ‘The Journey’ and is the fourth in the Chronicles of Vallador epic saga.

Book 5

The minions of the White Witch have swept down from the north, pushing winter ahead of them. The smallfolk flee, armies are routed, and cities besieged by goblin hoards. Yet a small and disparate band of friends seek a solution as the flux moves to rebalance itself. The ‘old ones’ are on the move, the Eldar have resurfaced, and the first of a new generation of Guardians has emerged.

Will they escape those sent to thwart them? Will they discover the lost arcane lore they need? Should they do so, will it be enough…

Book 6

The northern kingdoms are disintegrating, cities are falling, and winter deepens as the witch witch’s forces advance. Meanwhile the search for the necessary arcane law is slow in the Great Library, as is the creation of new guardians.

Various plots are afoot to undermine their efforts as conflict spreads across the continent. Can they win elven support? Can Faron Rowal resist more and more determined assaults? Can they continue to rely on dwarven assistance? Can more dragon riders be found? As the climax rapidly approaches, read the next thrilling instalment.

Book 7

The Quest to remake the Firestone continues, but the northern kingdoms are disintegrating, cities are falling, as winter deepens. As the minions of the white witch surge through the halls of the Deeps, the adventurers still have to find a suitable sapphire with which to remake the Firestone. At the same time, Anya must set off to awaken the sleepers, Bjolen of Cantar marches to expand his kingdom, refugees from Beren hope to find succour elsewhere, and two dwarven clans wander looking for a home. Things are finely balanced as the flux begins to re-assert its balance, but it could go either way, but against all the odds, somewhere love blossoms.

Book 8 will follow late in 2024 and hopefully be the concluding volume.
